The Micro-Z Mini™ / Micro-Z II™ is a micro-current DC stimulator that delivers energy deep into the tissue where previously you would need to visit a doctor/clinic to receive this therapy. Now for the first time, this DC stimulation is available for home use. In addition, Micro-Z™ technology can be used for nighttime treatment, while the body is in a natural state of healing.  

Both units use the same proprietary technology and are equipped with daytime/nighttime treatment programs. However, the Micro-Z Mini™ is equipped with the following additional features: 

• Additional copyrighted software and a USB port for exporting electronic medical records, which ensures patient compliance during home use. 
• 2 bifurcated leadwire ports, allowing for the application of 4 gel pad electrodes or 2 garment electrodes stimulating simultaneously. 
• LED Display

Yes, all of our therapy is insurable, billable, and reimbursable. However, please consult with your patient's insurance provider as coverage limits may vary. 

Your results may vary, depending on length of your medical condition and the type of wound that you have. However, you will usually begin to see benefit within the first week of treatment understanding that optimal therapy may take 60 days or more, assuming daily and nightly use.

If you must clean the Micro-Z™ unit, we recommend using a disinfecting wipe. Do not get the unit wet. 

You may feel the current, but remember not to over stimulate. Dosing below sensory stimulation optimizes the best biological effect to the body cells and blood vessels. Too much stimulation overwhelms the cells and body response to this therapy. Increase the stimulation until you feel light sensory stimulation, then decrease it to below sensory for night time while sleeping. 

TheraCream™ increases skin conductivity for superior electrotherapy treatment deep within the targeted soft tissue bed. When used with our patented Intelligent Textiles™ garment electrodes, the cream helps to deliver the electrotherapy uniformly over the entire treatment area.

No. The Micro-Z™ is a DC Stimulator and TENS devices are AC Stimulators. The Micro-Z™ delivers stimulation in the micro amperage range instead of AC current, which doses in the milliamp range. In addition, our DC delivery is designed to go very deep into the tissue. A TENS device is not designed to do this, but rather stimulate the surface nerves.

Micro-Z™ offers two program options - a thirty-minute program and an eight-hour treatment cycle. The eight-hour cycle can be used day or night, with the treatment sensation going on and off at programmed intervals. Both programs make it easy to customize the intensity and are completely safe. 

• The electrodes should not be placed over the front of the neck, as the electrical signals can stimulate the carotid sinus, which controls heart rate.
• They should also not be used over the heart, and never to those with pacemakers, for fear of producing heart rhythm problems.
• Don’t place the electrodes on areas of skin that have been affected by severe nerve damage. Mild to moderate nerve impairment may be OK. Please check with your medical provider if you have questions about your individual use.
• Micro-Z™ should not be used with those with a history of cancer.

• Option 1 – Place the red (+) electrode above (proximal to) the painful area and the black (-) electrode below (distal to) the painful area. Be careful to keep the electrodes separated from each other. DO NOT place them touching each other as they work best with separation.
• Option 2 – Place the red (+) electrode on most painful area and the black (-) electrode about 2 inches below the area of pain.

Disposable self-adhesive electrodes are very convenient. With proper care they typically last though two weeks of continuous use. For best results:

• Always place the electrodes on non-hairy, clean, dry skin. Do not place them on skin that has hand cream or body oil on it. Poor skin contact increases the current needed to stimulate the area, and causes the batteries to discharge faster than usual.
• Prevent the electrodes from drying out. After use, dampen the side of the electrode that was in contact with the skin with a drop of tap water. Then place the electrodes back in the zipper lock bag they came in. Seal the bag properly and make sure all the air is expelled from it. This will help keep the electrodes from drying out between use. A dry electrode reduces effectiveness, increases the current required, and drains batteries faster.
• Between uses keep the electrodes cool. Don’t store them next to any heat source like a radiator or sunny window.
